VKST Field Trials is an independent part of VKST, which is a part of DLBR). VKST Field Trials works as sub contractor for the agricultural industry. VKST Field Trials was founded in 1984. VKST Field Trials employs 8 full-time staff plus 6-8 part-time staff during the growing season. In 1996 VKST Field Trials was approved to perform GEP-efficacy trials on pesticides. VKST Field Trials cultivate 90 ha rented from different farmers near Ringsted. This provides the advantage of different soil types for e.g. variety testing, different weed compositions and the possibility to grow a wide range of different crops including special/minor crop species to cover individual client needs.
